St. Louis man passes the lactation test!
Remember Eric Nemens, the co-owner of the mom and child resale shop Kangaroo Kids?
He’s the affable guy we profiled in a story last fall while taking coursework to become a certified lactation counselor for nursing moms. Turns out Eric is ”A” material when it comes to counseling moms and dads about breastfeeding. In an e-mail with the subject line “I passed the test!” Nemens reports he learned this week that he scored a 91 percent on the extensive certification exam given by the Center for Breastfeeding.
“We are going to try to put it to use in our new store by teaching couples classes on breastfeeding,” says Eric, who operates the store with his wife, Sierra Cortazzo.
It may take a few weeks to get those courses up and running. Kangaroo Kids, which has weekly mommy breastfeeding groups, is moving to a new location in February at the corner of Manchester and Sappington Roads — less than a block away from its current location at 10090 Manchester.
Rock on Eric.

Congrats Eric! Good for you! I know my husband has helped numberous male friends see the goodness of breastfeeding for teh whole family. I think what you’re doing is wonderful.
Congrats on the new location too. I can’t wait to see it.
