St. Louisians going to the inauguration
St. Louis Post-Dispatch
Are there any parents taking their children to see the presidential inauguration in D.C. next week? Drop me an email if you are: asultan@post-dispatch.com

Aisha covered education and breaking news for nearly ten years before joining the Lifestyle staff where she writes a "Dirty Laundry" parenting column. She is the home and family editor and wastes too much time on Facebook and political blogs.
Aisha,
I hope you get some responses. It would be very exciting to expose your child to this live and in person.
In the meantime, I hope schools all have TVs tuned to the inauguration on the 20th. Yes, it’s historic in that we have elected our first Black man to the office of POTUS. However, more significant for their education is to see the peaceful transformation of power that occures in the US. It’s quite amazing when you think about it compared with other nations.
