After months and months of speculation Canon has finally announced the specs for their new professional camera.  The best I can offer is a list of links that have more information then I have, but here are some highlights.

–ISO 102,400(I’ll believe this when I see it, but they say its “usable”)

–16.06 million image pixel, 1.3x crop sensor(No full frame, expect Canon to release a full frame 1Ds Mark IV some time next spring or summer)

–Video, your choice of HD at 1080p, 720p, and SD at 640 at several different frame rates 24, 30, 60

–Improved Autofocus(Many people knocked the 1D Mark III for its autofocus)

Finally mic-in? Let’s hope for In-camera audio-metering. Anyone shooting 1080p professionally — even in journalism — has to need good audio as well.
