The greatest show on turf … in Arizona?
Robert Cohen
St. Louis Post-Dispatch

There’s nothing quite like enjoying a summer vacation in Arizona in early August. For a change it’s great to travel light, a solitary camera dangling off a shoulder, photographing the Red Rocks of Sedona, sunsets at the Grand Canyon, desert cactus in Phoenix, the Wigwam Motel on Route 66, and Kurt Warner in Flagstaff.

Yes, that Kurt Warner. The same quarterback who brought the Rams their storybook saga of 1999 also gave birth to a new football fan….my wife Kim. She’s the one who yells at the television on Sundays, who follows the draft, who seems to have an opinion of every player. So it’s natural to pile the kids into the rental car and head to Cardinals training camp in Flagstaff.

It takes a bit of scanning to find him. A sea of players and multilayered fans obscures the practice field. We search for the receivers and there he is, launching the long ball on those corner routes.

Still looks good, number 13.
