Disappointing night for republicans in Columbia

Election night was packed with plenty of excitement across the country. However, the tone was a little different at the Holiday Inn in Columbia, Mo. In the banquet room of the hotel, there were a lot of unhappy faces at the party for the republican gubernatorial candidate Kenny Hulshof. There was an early rumor circulating that democratic candidate Jay Nixon was the victor. As the night dragged on, the news got worse for the republican crowd, as Obama’s numbers looked more favorable. Shortly after Hulshof conceded to his opponent, John McCain delivered his national concession speech to Obama.
