Stefan Lang of Florissant is raising two girls while fighting deportation back to Germany. He is being deported because his ex-wife filed paperwork withdrawing support for his green card. The action would sever contact between him and his daughters Isabell Lang, 9, and Andy Dorsey, 12, who are U.S. citizens.

Andy Dorsey (left) 12, practices her violin while father Stefan Lang (center) talks with his youngest daughter Isabell Lang (right),9.

Although Lang’s ex-wife has since changed her mind and now supports the renewal of his green card, the government is holding to its position. While the case is still pending in court, his daughter Andy has written a letter to President-elect Obama asking for help.

See a slideshow of Lang and his daughters.

Yes, the world seems broken.
The Lang family is very delightful in person. I hope that shows through in the slideshow.

Dawn this wonderful! I showed this to my 4th grade class so they could get an understanding of how powerful words can be. Using words to express your feelings to help yourself or others can turn into a wonderful experience.

I understand that the government has its rules. But, nothing should come between a father and his children. Each case should be looked at individually. This case is very clear. Stefan loves his daughters and the story and video show that his daughters love him. Nothing should break this family apart!
