Inauguration previsualization

That is the essence of previsualization, as coined by Ansel Adams. Chuck Kennedy of the McClatchy-Tribune Photo Service had the idea to proposition the powers that be to set up a remote camera at the base of the podium where Barack Obama too the oath of office earlier today.

Kennedy had a 5D Mark II inside a customized pelican case and bolted it to the platform. All wiring was run underneath the platform.

It is great to see photographers plan their images long before they happen. Seeing the image (previsualization) is a big part in what separates a photographer from a snapshooter.
