If you’re fan of the Cardinals, Blues, or Rams franchises, chances are you’re a fan of Chris Lee. Chris Lee has been capturing every aspect of sports in this city since before I arrived seven years ago.

Chris Lee knows all the in’s and out’s of every sports team in the city but, perhaps what they don’t know and some of you is that Chris Lee is also an excellent swimsuit model stand in. He has all the style, poise, grace and the bone structure most would kill to have.

About a week ago he and I worked on our first fashion project together.
I was a little nervous because I’d never work with Lee before. I was not sure how well we would work together. Photojournalists are generally solitary creatures that work best alone in a crowd. But sometimes we need a second mind, set of hands, eyes, to complete large assignments like a swimsuit cover section for lifestyles.

The day we met to scout our location I quickly realized that we were like oil and water. I’m slow, he’s fast. He can pre-visualize a photo, I have to work my way into the picture. We have very different shooting styles. But by the day of the shoot the thing I found we had in common was we had both come to work.

Chris Lee is a professional to the core. He works quickly and diligently and he left me with a new wealth of knowledge of how I could improve on my work flow.

So all I have to say to Chris Lee is “You Betta Work!”

See the real models at work.

Chris Lee is an stunning talent. His ability to catch game action is amazing. Most of my favorite sports photos were taken by Chris. I fear that with the financial difficulties facing the Post that our city will lose him to a better opportunity. It would be a huge loss. I certainly hope he stays forever! The Post should collect his best pictures (which would be a tough call) into a book. I certainly would buy it.
