I walked the Columbus Day Parade located in “The Hill” Neighborhood on Sunday. As I worked I noticed Joel Moss, 7, of Lemay tossing candy from the back of an antique police car. People in parades are generally all smiles and excitement.  My job as a photographers is to bring you into the scene and somehow let you the viewer experience the event. I find his moment of complete detachment at this moment in the event  interesting. There were moments were he seemed to be enjoying the ride, and other times he seemed less than enthusiastic. For me the bars on the police car and his expression in this one click of the shutter tell a completely different story.
