Seeing is believing, or is it?
See the little second story window between these two men? I’m going to enlarge that area so that you can see what I saw. Maybe you will see an image in the window. Maybe you won’t.
I am generally not a believer in the paranormal or in ghosts. But, I have been involved in a few assignments over the years where strange things happened that I couldn’t explain. Such was the case on Thursday when reporter Christine Byers and I visited the Dragon’s Den Pizzeria in DeSoto. The owners and workers have had several incidents happen that can not be easily explained such as objects moved and unusual noises that happened when no one was around. This Saturday night, on Halloween, Nathan Husch and other members of his Jeffco Paranormal Society plan to spend the evening at the pizzeria to see if they can observe and record any unusual happenings.
One of the unexplained incidents that occurred recently concerned this second story window in an empty apartment above the pizzeria. One of the workers noticed last week that the window was wide open. She told other workers who came out and observed the same thing. No one could explain it because the stairs leading to the apartment has rotted away and there is no access. The next morning the window was shut.
I photographed the pizzeria owner, Chris Brinley, and Nathan Husch standing outside the window. There didn’t seem to be anything unusual about the window, except that I couldn’t take my eyes off of it. Then, I brought my computer into the pizzeria and started looking at my pictures, which is something I never do while I’m still on assignment. For some reason, I went right to this frame and started enlarging it.
I admit I have a vivid imagination which may explain why I immediately saw two faces in the window - one in the upper pane, and one in the lower pane. So, I showed the enlarged photo to everyone in the pizzeria. They all saw the same thing. I thought it must have something to do with the pixels forming patterns when they are enlarged too many times. So, I looked at the other five frames I had made of this same scene, taken just seconds apart. None of them had these patterns on them when I enlarged them.
So, what made me bring my computer into the restaurant? Why did I go right to this frame and enlarge it? Why didn’t the other frames have these same patterns? I don’t know.
After everyone had puzzled over the images, I learned that the corner of the pizzeria I chose to sit in and work on these pictures was where a couple of people had spotted what they believed to be a ghost. One worker said that one day she glanced over and saw a small boy sitting in a wheelchair. When she looked back again, the boy was gone. The story goes that a young boy in a wheelchair had lived in this building many years ago. I was sitting in the same spot.

my uncle owns it and ive witnessed some of the things that have happened its pretty creepy.
After reading the article of The Dragon’s Den Pizzaria and looking at the photos, I actually see five faces. I can see one in the upper pane and four in the lower pane. I’ve looked at this several times and see the same each time. See if you can also. Thats for the interesting “creepy” article. Great Job!!!!

I see a bear’s face in the lower pane and a knotty tree trunk in the upper pane. Do those count?
