Friday I was sitting at the corner of art and life. Now, if you are wondering where that is, try the corner of Olive Boulevard and Grand Avenue. I was on my way to get an oil change between assignments when I saw Robert Strasser of St. Louis battling with art. There were two types of art—one was a commissioned mural and the other one was a street tag. Yes, to some  there is a vast difference between the two mediums.  I guess it just depends who you ask. Strasser, who works for Grand Center, was attempting to dull the black spray paint so that the original work could be retouched.

So, the next time you are driving back downtown from getting your
oil changed, would you snap a few shots of Kiel Opera House, still
neglected, still the victim of Grand Center.

On the other hand don’t wait until your next oil change to remind
St. Louisans of this abominable waste.
