PDN reports National Geographic cancels Summit

Bummer. The Photo District News Pulse blog reports that National Geographic canceled their January Photographic Summit, saying the “climate is not appropriate for such a gathering this year.”
That’s a shame, because the event draws hundreds of photographers for an event filled with “war stories, shop talk, lots of laughs and, naturally, presentations of amazing photography.”
Hopefully they’ll resurrect the summit next year. National Geographic has long been known for its amazing visual storytelling.
