Where Art Thou George
So the other day I had the George Assignment. As one can guess, The George assignment is simple in theory– go find George Clooney. Funny how things are always so much harder than they sound.
It’s been more than a week now and we still haven’t found the Silver Fox.
I tried. I failed. I spotted the filming crew and what I believed to be Clooney’s black car. Then I waited..and waited.. and waited some more. Did I mention I waited?
Sometimes I was alone. Other times I had visitors. PD staff photographer J.B. Forbes came by and let me warm up in his car, then PD photographer David Carson brought by a battery. Jim Tuxbury from KSDK shared a power bar. Then he shared another. Then there was the heckling from the “Up in the Air” security team. He’s not in there,” they would repeat.
The sad fact is after eight hours, I still can’t confirm if Clooney was ever inside.
I did learn one thing for certain, Jason Bateman is in town.
He walked by my camera and I clicked off a few frames.
I have always appreciated Bateman’s sense of humor ever since his childhood cameos on the TV show “Silver Spoons” as “The Ricker’s” more talented friend.
So here’s a shout out to the Arrested Development star.
Until we find George, we have Jason!

Is the new Arrested Development movie filming in the STL?
wow, all this fuss over some stars being in town, ksdk is stumbling over themselves with drool, and now here too… jeez. get a life people.
Man, Jason Bateman is five kinds of FINE!!!!
Lets get this liberal out of St Louis fast as we can….
I would much rather “bump” into Jason Bateman than George Clooney anyday. You lucky girl! I might have to go to the city this weekend.
Good Lord Bateman is looking good. I would much rather run in Jason over Clooney myself.
The “Silver Fox”? Ouch.
Either is fine with me.
