Inside the Canon lens factory, how your lens is made
I stumbled across these cool videos on You Tube from inside the Canon factory that makes lenses. It’s really geeky, but I found the videos to be kind of interesting. There are three videos I posted them all here. The music is really terrible, but you have to leave the volume up so you can hear what the narrator says. They are making a Canon L Series 500mm F4L IS USM in these videos.

That is a pretty amazing process. I guess I never thought about how much work goes into our lenses. It makes me feel slightly better about paying thousands of dollars for L series lenses.
