Note to Obama? Yo #44, this mess is yours: #43

WASHINGTON — New White House press secretary Robert Gibbs said that President Barack Obama (do those words sound odd?) arrived for work this morning in the Oval Office at 7:35 am St. Louis time and spent 10 minutes there alone.

During that time, he read a note left to him by former president George W. Bush (does that sounds weird, too?) in an envelope marked “To: #44, From #43.”

Gibbs didn’t disclose what Bush said in the note.

Speaking of letters, GOP congressional leaders planned one to Obama today about the $800 billion-plus stimulus package. Can’t these guys just talk?

At the moment, Obama is at a prayer service at the National Cathedral. He planned a videoconference with his National Security Council and an open house at the White House for some selected members of the public.

No, it wasn’t expected to be like Andrew Jackson’s post-inaugural bash when a crowd of hooligans trashed the place.

Gibbs might or might not disclose the contents of the note from Bush when he holds his first official briefing a little later.

What do you think Bush might have written to Obama?

I see that having removed my earlier post Mr Lambrecht doesn’t allow for critique of his work, or the history behind something.

No, Mr. T, critique away. It’s the name-calling on this blog and others that gets tiresome.

I’m guesing the note contained the following words.

“They misunderestimated me…Our enemies are innovated and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about ways to harm our country and our people, and neither did we. Good luck, you’ve arrived in President. You are going now to be the Decider of strategery”.

Dubya.
