Libertarians, Holden hold Election Watch parties
Former Missouri Gov. Bob Holden is hosting a bipartisan
election night party Tuesday at Webster University’s Sunnen Lounge, 175 Edgar Road, from 6 to 11 p.m..
According to a university release, “There will be politically themed games, such as pin the tail on the donkey and pin the trunk on the elephant, complete results coverage and political figures in attendance to give commentary throughout the night.”
Among those political participants, either by phone or in person:
–Attorney General Jay Nixon, a Democrat;
–U.S. Rep. Russ Carnahan,D-St. Louis;
– Republican strategist Steve Grand;
– New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson, a Democrat.
Also participating will be Dan Hellinger, Webster professor of History, Politics and International Relations; and Jim Brassfield, former mayor of Crestwood and Webster professor of management.
MEANWHILE, the St. Louis area Libertarians will be gathering Tuesday, beginning at 7 p.m., at the Talayna’s Restaurant on DeBaliviere.
U.S. Senate candidate Frank Gilmour is among those expected to attend, along with St. Louis County Libertarian Party chairwoman (and 2nd District congressional hopeful)Tamara Millay, 1st District Congress candidate Robb Cunningham, and Karl Beck, candidate for Missouri House District 63.
