Clay, McMillan, Joyce — and Nelly — to join Hubbard at fundraiser
State Rep. Rodney Hubbard is bringing out the big names for his fundraiser this Thursday evening to help bankroll next year’s state Senate bid.
According to his invitation and release, joining Hubbard at the event — to be held at J. Bucks, 1000 Clark Street — are such notables as:
– Entertainers Nelly, Jibbs and St. Lunatics.
– Such politicians as U.S. Rep. Lacy Clay, former Mayor Freeman Bosley Jr., Board of Aldermen President Lewis Reed, Circuit Attorney Jennifer Joyce, and License Collector Mike McMillan.
The event begins at 9 p.m.
His rivals include already-announced state Rep. Robin Wright Jones, and two potential opponents, state Reps. Tom Villa and Connie Johnson.
