Bill’s back, and Obama’s stopping by
Just when the Post-Dispatch runs a story (co-written by yours truly) that raises questions about whether last weekend’s flurry of Democratic activity in the state was a fluke, the candidates weigh in and prove us wrong.
Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton’s right-hand man, former President Bill Clinton, is slated to stop by Independence,Mo. Saturday night. He’s headline another “Solutions for America” event, this one to begin at 7:15 p.m. at William Chrisman High School.
(Advice to prospective attendees: bring water, a book and a chair pad, in case he’s late.)
Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., plans to be in Kansas City next Tuesaday, his campaign announced Friday afternoon. The details have yet to be set, but he’s apparently going to be joined by Sen. Claire McCaskill, D-Mo., who’s going to the mat to promote her man. She’s also featured in some of the new ads he’s just begun to air in the state.
And we’ve already announced that former Sen. John Edwards’ visit Monday to Springfield.

I guess the former impeached president wants to make sure the good folks of Independence know that Obama is an African American. Let’s count how many times he brings it up, shall we?
Thank you, Post Dispatch, for endorsing Barack Obama! Absolutely the right choice!
Obama’s coming? There goes your free dinner from Claire.
As a consolation I will be glad to send you my Red Lobster coupons from the paper.
