Clinton to hold first local “watch” party Tuesday

Perhaps feeling more confident about their candidate’s presidential chances, Missouri supporters of U.S. Hillary Rodham Clinton , D-N.Y., are holding “watch parties” Tuesday night in St. Louis and Kansas City, to monitor Tuesday’s televised Democratic candidate debate in Nevada.

St. Louis’ event begins at 8 p.m, and will be at a private home in University City.

Meanwhile, the Missouri campaign arm of U.S. Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., also plans to hold watch events, beginning at 7:30 p.m.,  at its offices in St. Louis and Kansas City. The organization held two earlier this month – on the nights of Obama’s victorious showing in the Iowa caucus and disappointing finish in the New Hampshire primary.

Will Hogan at least have the decency to clean the drool off the table and air the place out before his guests arrive?

[...] The Liberty Lounge Political Forums wrote an interesting post today on Clinton to hold first local â

Not judging, just commenting, but I’m a Hillary volunteer, making calls, and I didnt get invited, even after I left my number asking if I could be invited. I know they have my number even before I left the message, because they call me to ask if I have more time to call. Why didnt they hold the function at the headquarters so all could attend?
and btw, I couldnt get to Liberty Lounge post from the post above, so dont know what’s up with that.

How much are they charging to get in? $ 25.00?

(yes, I know the answer to Bill’s question… no, I’m not going to give it)

full disclosure and follow-up: 11 hours after I left message (about 730pm), I had my call returned from Hillary headquarters and that I was invited and that event was on website which it was/is.
1. maybe we ought to check our voicemail more often.
2. I’m sure the return call had nothing to do with my previous post, oh no!
3. if there was a sign at headquarters inviting all to party, I’m wrong with my implications of elitism; I dont know, havent been there since last wednesday.
4. on the other hand, last sunday I was called to ask to come in and call, and returned call, and in neither conversation was I invited to the debate watch. Maybe they didnt know at that time.
5. Finally, not judging, just smacked some of possible elitism; if I’m wrong, I’m wrong. If not, not the best way to build esprit de corp and enthusiasm. And even if right to an extent, not fair to blame Hillary for any lack of inclusion in local volunteers. Some of the Clinton people are very wonderful, Bob Holden for example. Others, not big fan of. One hasnt returned a call of mine in 5 years, including congratulations when she was first elected. I know I’m a nobody, but still. And I try not to judge. And not going to mention any names. Oh no, not me. Not Princess Rachel’s or anybody’s.

Bill Haas, Wait a minute, let me get this straight. The Clinton campaign and its supporters discouraged our youth from voting in Iowa, suppressed and intimidated voters in New Hampshire, (we won’t talk Diebold, just yet), are waging a lawsuit against a union so they can’t caucus on the strip in Las Vegas, and are without question running the most dishonest and divisive campaign imaginable, and you’re worried about a return phone call? What?

Marty, I think my point was more about making volunteers being included and invited, and I told them early on probably had made other plans about my own campaign anyhow; and I think you’re confusing Clinton’s campaign with the No Nothing Whig party of yesteryear, or the Republicans of today; I used to make that mistake myself until I became more focused; so what’s shift for calling for Hillary at the Manchester headquarters?
