Montee in N.H., while Talent/Jetton prepare for post-Iowa spin
Missouri state Auditor Susan Montee is in New Hampshire today stumping for her choice for president, U.S. Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill. The word is that Obama’s staff is confident enough of a strong Iowa showing today that they are shifting some high-profile supporters to New Hampshire, which holds its primary next Tuesday.
In the GOP camp, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney – who is less confident of a strong Iowa finish today — is looking ahead to other states as well.
Two of his campaign staffers from Missouri — former Sen. Jim Talent and current state House Speaker Rod Jetton – are planning a conference call with reporters tomorrow to discuss Romney’s campaign plans for Missouri, one of the crowd of states holding primaries or caucuses on Feb. 5.
By the way, you might want to check out The Turner Report’s account of Talent’s tirade about Romney’s nemesis, Huckabee on MSNBC’s Hardball with Chris Mathews.

Romney’s plan for Missouri ought to include some fancy explanations as to why he lost.
