I think that Rep. Baker’s faith-based, common-sense values are a good fit for this district. I definitely think she’s the front runner in this race. Dems (especially in Columbia) love her, and she has a great abilty to build bridges. Go Judy!

Well, Judy Baker may have the ability to build bridges but she doesn’t have the profile to win the district. Only Steve Gaw has that profile! He understands rural and urban issues, has outstanding legislative experience and is putting together a professional campaign that no other candidate will match. For the sake of the party, and her own career, Judy should think about stepping aside this time while she still has some options.

Shouldn’t we let the voters decide who will carry the Dem banner this fall, and leave the smoke filled, back room deals in the past?
