Unsure about what to do when you go to the polls? (By the way, they’re open Tuesday from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.)

Secretary of State Robin Carnahan wants to help. Her staff has created a “two minute video for first-time voters, and for those who need a refresher, on what to expect when they go to the polls on Election Day.”

“This educational video includes a quick overview on a variety of Election Day topics including:

·         How to find your polling location

·         What type of identification to bring

·         When the polls are open on Election Day

·         How to access election night results”

Actually the video is 2 minutes, 45 seconds. But it does cover all the bases.

Here’s it is:

To “AmazedbytheLunacy”: I deleted your posts because they were ENTIRELY off topic.

Comments are required to be — at the least — remotely related to what the thread is about. When Political Fix posts something on the topic you’re concerned about — OR, when we post an “Open Thread,” likely on Sunday — you then can vent, in a civil manner, on that issue.

As I have stated before, because that matter is a criminal/legal issue, we here at Political Fix must be careful what we post about it.

I have kept such matters — and that includes the other case you cited — focused on the political aspects or ramifications. I can promise you that when a political angle on that matter arises (and one should shortly, I suspect), I or one of my colleagues will post something here on it.

Give me a break, Jo. That is the biggest bunch of BS you could write.

I have rarely, if ever, seen an incident when you deleted a post just because it was off topic. And if you do delete a post, it is usually followed by an explanation that foul language or unsubstantiated claims were being made. If you deleted all off topic posts, the political fix would have one or two comments per topic.

Let’s see: you post a “video” on this topic. I give you a link of the “video” that is being run on one of your sister paper sites. Video is the common theme. Oh, Channel 5 local news went with the story last night and played the video for viewers.

As to if this has a political angle or not, HE’S A STATE REPRESENTATIVE!!!!! How much more involved in politics would he have to be in order for you to allow someone to keep their posts up?

I really don’t care if you make it a thread topic, now. It is blatantly obvious that you have some reason that you are avoiding it. At the very least, you could leave posts up that mention it, instead of using your almighty delete powers. The only reason I see you deleting them, is because the are bothering you in some way. Look in the mirror and ask yourself why a few simple online posts are getting to you.
