The campaign for Sen. Hillary Clinton reported this morning that she collected more money from Missourians in the last three months of 2007 than any other candidate in either party.

Clinton’s take: $330,000. A sizable chunk likely came from her Dec. 2 visit to the St. Louis area, which included a flurry of fundraisers arranged by Democratic fundraising guru Joyce Aboussie.

In contrast, Sen. Barack Obama reported raising $140,777 in the state, compared to $30,324 for former Sen. John Edwards. (For the year, Obama had been outraising Clinton in the state.)

Among the Republicans, now-departed candidate Rudy Giuliani collected the most, $191,760, followed by former Gov. Mike Huckabee’s $92,532, former Gov. Mitt Romney’s $81,575, and Sen. John McCain’s $49,535.

If the figures raised correspond to the likelihood of a candidate dropping out, then goodbye Hillary. Hello Obama…

I don’t think money raised inside MO for a candidate will be much of a mirror of the MO vote personally. McCain will win MO and he is last on the list Jo posted for raising funds in MO. Huck-the-bee will get some votes down south, but McCain will carry MO. With McCain wrapping up the Rep race early after Tues, the full focus of interst can turn on the Dems, and it’s going to be fun to watch the true war that will break-out post Super Tues between BO & The Hill…………….

BO vs. The Hill and what the MO “tea leaves” bring as a a Bell Weather state should be interesting. I’ll predict that BO takes MO because he is a neighboring state based US Senator and just about everyone with a pulse is tired of having either a Clinton or a Bush in the White House for the past 20 years…….

General Election: OB vs. McCain, regardless of MO cash………………………………….

Can I change my prediction for the Dem candidate in the General Election? No candidae with a MoveOn approval label will win a General Election…………….

John, say hello to The Hil…………………………………………………
