Get ready: Super Tuesday election night watch parties

Super Tuesday doesn’t end when the polls close — at least half the fun is watching the results come in.

We’re told that Hillary Clinton’s supporters will gather at Laclede Street Grill near SLU, while Barack Obama fans will head to the Moolah Theatre on Lindell.

State Auditor Susan Montee might also be hosting an Obama party at her pad in Jefferson City, though that event is probably not open to the public.

The Young Democrats and “Drink Liberaly” (a liberal drinking group, we assume) are hosting a “Super Fat Tuesday” at The Royale, 3132 S Kingshighway, beginning at 7 p.m. It’s a combination Mardi Gras/Super Tuesday party.

As for the Republicans:

John McCain’s allies are gathering at TGI Friday’s, 12398 Olive Blvd., beginning at 7 p.m.

We’re still awaiting word on the times and locales for the local events for Mitt Romney and Mike Huckabee.

Any ideas on when the polls open tomorrow? I’ve searched all over the St. Louis Today website and cant find info for specific communities and polling? I have my polling place, of course, but there’s no website listed for further information.

Thanks!

There was an election night party listed for Hillary on her website that a friend of mine and I rsvp’d to. Contributions in advance for Hillary were requested. I didnt but was planning on bringing a check. Now it is not listed, neither canceled or “full”. what’s up with that? people will have sent contributions and may even just show up. Still on not still on? Seems like it could have been handled better. Jo? Jake? inquiring minds want to know, and so does mine.

Polls open at 6 am and close at 7pm in most cases. If you live in the city of St. Louis, there’s an outside chance you will be able to vote later.
