Jo Mannies

Bob Barr, a former Republican congressman from Georgia who’s now a Libertarian, is the headliner at the St. Louis Area Libertarian Caucus’ next meeting, scheduled for 1 p.m. on Feb. 23.

The site is the Best Western Airport Inn and Conference Center, 4530 North Lindbergh Blvd..

Barr represented Georgia’s 7th congressional district from 1995 to 2003, and was a particularly prominent Republican.  He now is a delegate to the Libertarian National Committee, “representing Georgia and neighboring states,” a release said. He also is slated to be the keynote speaker at the Libertarian Party’s 2008 Presidential Convention in Denver, May 23-26.
