State Rep. Ron Richard, R-Joplin and the next speaker of the Missouri House, was in St. Louis Friday “visiting with local business leaders from both sides of the aisle to discuss economic growth, transportation and a host of other issues facing the state,” an ally said in an email.

“Among those visited by the soon-to-be-speaker were Stifel’s Joe Schlafly, AT&T’s Deborah Hollingsworth, prominent businessman and philanthropistRex Sinequefield, Grand Center’s (former Mayor) Vince Schoemehl, Kim Tucci of the CVC Board and the Pasta House, and Jack Schreiber, president of Commerce Bank.  The visits were an opportunity to hear the concerns and ideas of local business leaders.”
