Still’s the one — seeking Baker’s state rep seat
Jo Mannies
Special to the Post-Dispatch

Mary Still, long a key aide to Missouri Attorney General Jay Nixon (and who also toiled for a couple years for then-Gov. Bob Holden), has retired from state government and is entering politics.

Still, 54, called this afternoon to say that she’d formed a campaign committee to run as a Democrat for the state House seat in Columbia, Mo., now occupied by Democrat Judy Baker.

Baker has announced she’s running for the congressional seat soon to be vacated by Rep. Kenny Hulshof, R-Columbia, who’s running for governor.

Still said she and her husband, Russell Still, have been active in Columbia. He served a stint on the School Board.

Still said she left state government as of Feb. 1.
