Web Watch: Quiet Friday
Doesn’t look like there’s anything too explosive in world of web politics today.
We heard about a couple big endorsements this afternoon and another ad in Wisconsin for Hillary Clinton, among other items.
Still, the political buzz on Technorati — a web site that keeps an eye on blogs and whatnot — and other sites was pretty quiet. And YouTube viewers today have been more preoccupied with Jane Fonda and Indiana Jones.
A few highlights:
- Sources say former president George H.W. Bush plans to endorse Sen. John McCain.
- Sen. Hillary Clinton released a new ad today in Wisconsin after she and Sen. Barack Obama have traded airtime jabs this week.
- Obama picked up the endorsement of international service workers union, a coalition of some 1.9 million members.
- More talk continued of super delegates and the Democratic National Convention. Party critics, like left-wing group Moveon.org, worry that that political operatives will pick the nominee. Still, those fears could end up being more hype than substance.
Though most of the focus of news coverage and Internet watercooler talk as been on the contests between Clinton and Obama, we’ll give long-shotter GOP contestant Ron Paul his due.
The No. 2 most-watched political YouTube vid this week belongs to him.

I think the pundits need to continue to help promote politicians.
I would like to run against these butheads
Is it just me or do these previous 4 comments sound like they were produced by a random-word generator or something.
“trailer in hillsboro”
“people are looming”
“I would like to run”
