State rep candidate Steve Brown today announced the support of Maplewood mayor and former DJ Mark Langston.

Langston, who held the mic on the country music station KSD-FM - “The Bull” - said Brown “truly understands many of the challenges that face, not only Maplewood, but all of the inner-ring cities in St. Louis County.”

Brown, a former aide to Attorney General Jay Nixon, is running for the mid-county seat held for many years by Sue Shear, his aunt.

The seat is currently held by Margaret Donnelly, who is running to succeed Nixon in the AG’s office.

Brown is running against Stacey Newman, executive director of the Missouri Women’s Coalition, and Gina Mitten, who sits on the Richmond Heights council.

How much did Brown pay for this endorsement? Is Langston in bed with Brown’s money laundering? All questions for voters…

How much did Brown pay for this endorsement? Is Langston in bed with Brown’s money laundering from his Daddy? Interesting questions for the voters…

Sources tell me that tomorrow Stacey Newman will announce she has the support of Cornbread.

Simon (clearly not your real name since you posted the same accusation under the name ‘Ted’ on Arch City Chronicle),

Money laundering is an illegal activity. Steve Brown has engaged in nothing of the sort. And the accusation that he has bought the endorsement of Mayor Langston is ludicrous. Your post is (bordering on, if not) libelous to both of these men. I’d suggest that you retract your remarks, immediately.

If you stand by them, at least be man (or woman) enough to identify yourself.

I concur with Nick, Ted and Simon better not let their real names be known, lest a big fat slander suit come his/her/their way. Breadhead that was pretty funny, is Stacey already worried?
