Race, Wright or Wrong
In Illinois, political observers are probably already familiar with the topic of the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, the former and sometimes incendiary pastor of Sen. Barack Obama’s church in Chicago.
Wright continues to be back in the news, and has resurfaced this week as an epilogue to the back-and-forth about race and Obama’s campaign. This has, of course, been fueled by comments from Geraldine Ferraro, a surrogate for Sen. Hillary Clinton.
I’ve posted a roundup of political analysis over at DC Download, and then opened it up for comments and thoughts. This one is about robust, but CIVIL, debate. Head here and share your thoughts.

Folks…
This has been a pretty lively comment session with some healthy back-and-forth.
I just want to post a reminder: Refrain from attacking eachother. Disagreement is fine, but just be careful to focus your arguments on ideas, not persons.
Wright’s ideas are the most arrogant, racist remarks ever heard and anyone backing him or Obama are equally racist.
Bob,
Then I guess my friends of different race than I, but let’s just concentrate on the Black and White ones, we all really don’t like each other and are racist in our attitudes towards one another because you know we Obama supporters are racists becasuse we are voting for him. Pretty stupid isn’t it?
Rev. Wright is not a racist. The only outlandish thing that was not based on a factual truth was that our government was responsible for HIV. I my self strongly rebuke that. But, I understand why one would believe something like that because such were reported in the London Times I believe in 2002 and in the Times magazine.
Our government has been capable of such evil before against African Americans as with the Tuskegee Syphlisis Study on Negro Male Subjects that took place from 1932 until 1972. Now, people can pretend to not understand where this Rev. is coming from and why all they want, but he is not as nuts as one’s are attempting to portray him.
Many of Rev. Wright’s views concerning our government are much like Ron Paul’s view who I also agreed with on many subjects.
The true anti-Americans are the Bush administration and those in our government who support and are the masterminds behind NAFTA (outsourcing to foreign countries) and H1B visas (importing foreign workers). The worst part is that supposedly intelligent people (citizens) bought the bill of goods that have been sold to them by these traitors, that U.S. citizens lack the intelligence to fulfill these jobs, when in fact, most corporations used these visas to lay off professional and skilled workers to replae them with these foreign workers, our workforce know this to be true.
We are sick of all the lies. Some of these laid off American workers if very lucky can find a temporary job working for a outsource contractor with no benefits being offered.
This country is falling apart at the seams because of traitors. They are our own government and Corporate America. And people are up in arms concerning what Obama’s pastor stated? Crazy!
Do we throw our pastor away by the way side because of some outlandish remarks?
Not unless that pastor committed some grave sin or crime that is a deadly sin. Sorry, to break it to you all, but Rev. Wright did not commit any grave and deadly sin or lead his flock into any such sin that would require any Christian to walk away from him and the church.
Unknowing people should keep quiet about things of spiritual nature and matters when they do not know what the Holy Scriptures teach on the subject.
Anything concerning that pastor and that church are of spiritual matters and are to be dealt with biblically, not in a worldly fashion.
You don’t have to commit a sin to be an out-and-out racist pig.
The Syphllis Study was based upon non-treatment of the disease on participants who would otherwise not seek medical attention–blacks. In no shape or form was Syphllis created by the government to wipe out the black race–Wright’s same assertion about AID’s.
Whites cannot say anything negative about blacks without the public backlash and opportunity of being fired or pulled off the air. This double standard needs to cease.
Let’s see McCain’s preacher spouting off about how Blacks created AIDS to decimate the White population and where would that get McCain—in much hot water!
Let Wright G. Damn Africa–for not helping him, Oprah or Obama out–that’s there home country–why should the US help out all the blacks from Africa–go back.
RL,
Racism is a sin in itself. It is mortal sin, it is evil.
God does damn nations and countries who are not obedient to His commands.
You are not even incapable of recognizing evil. You are blinded because your are under the control of the Master of Deception. Your heart has become cold and very sick because you have allow Satan to be your Master and Father and guide, not God.
Hopefully others can see and witness the true and sick motivations of the hearts of one’s like yourself and will refuse to allow themselves to travel where you have allowed yourself to go.
The good thing is, that if only you would just ask God to come into your life and fix those things that are wrong in your heart, He will.
