Web Watch: Who you gonna call?
And we’re back…
It was apparently a quiet weekend on the campaign trail, something of a break from last week’s big primaries and the ever-escalating back-and-forth between Sens. Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama.
That said, the latest buzz apparently in the Internet ether remains over the so-called 3 a.m. Phone Call ad by Clinton. The ad itself has drawn some 800,000 online hits since the campaign posted it a week and a half ago.
The video came out ahead of the OH, TX, VT and RI primaries, as Clinton tried to go after Obama’s foreign policy record and experience.
The new twist over the weekend was the revelation that one of the children shown in the video — stock footage, owned by Getty, of a little girl sleeping in a bed – is actually a big Obama supporter.
Here’s the clip reported by a TV station in Seattle which, after it was reposted YouTube, is now one of the most watched of the last 24 hours.
And, for clarity, here is Clinton’s original ad.

I was once in a Maxwell House commercial. It is strange because I now only drink Folgers. Well, or whatever they serve at Mobil-on-the-run for a quarter when the Blues win.
This, by definition, is a non-news, albeit a quirky story. That didn’t stop the morning news shows from covering it ad naseum.
