President George W. Bush’s press secretary, Dana Perino, told reporters at the White House this afternoon that “the President will travel to St. Louis, Missouri this Friday; the topic will be on the economy…”

Details, such as time and location, will come later, she said.

Here’s the wire service account:

“WASHINGTON (AP) — President Bush will visit St. Louis on Friday to deliver remarks on economy.

“The White House did not immediately provide details about where and when the speech would be held.

“Bush last traveled to Missouri in February, when he visited Kansas City to press Congress to boost the sagging economy with a plan of tax rebates.”

Please update when you learn of any planned protests. Let’s give this feckless mediocrity the welcome he deserves.

I hope all the people that work for Western Union, the 700 people who are losing there jobs because Western Union is moving to Costa Rica, Dominican Republic and Mexico, protest in person when George Bush gets here. Western Union, a union employee, are closing there Western Union offices to move to country’s where they pay the employee’s much less. Protest George, Protest the closing of Western Union offices, don’t use Western Union services, ever…..
My family received Western Union messages from the men in our family serving during World War II, the Western Union telegram of my husband’s is being saved among precious items for our grandchildren. Ask your grandparents what it meant to receive a Western Union telegram and they will tell you that they received it because a loved one, serving in the U.S. Military either died, was missing in action or sustained injuries.
George Bush is the worst President of the United States our country has every had, followed closing by Vice President Dick (Deferment) Cheney.
If there are going to be portests, I hope STLtoday and the Post Dispatch list where we can go to also protest.
A message to George, go home to Crawford, don’t come to St. Louis. We don’t want you here in our community.

I personally would love to be able to out and meet him. My family hasn’t been adversely affected by the change in the economy at all. Too many people live beyond their means and then blame the government, grow up and deal with life. The entitlement attitude of these union employees is getting out of hand, to many unions over pay for low end work. It’s not the governments job to make sure that you have an education, housing, insurance, or food. Teach your children the value of being able to stand on their own two feet, you only deserve what you have personally worked for.

I think he has done a great job as President and I hope that we get another Republican in the office this fall, if not my god help us all.

Jennifer:

If you believe your party — any party — is inherently superior, please do America a favor and stay home election day. No political party has all the saints or all the sinners, all the good ideas or all the bad ones. Vote for people, not labels.

Mr. Bill

I never once said that my party was inherently superior, you obviously read something that wasn’t there. That is a trait that Obama is looking for to get votes. He seems to say things in hopes that people will find something that isn’t there all of the time.

I will vote for the person that stands for what I believe in. I just stay away from the party that I believe to have more sinners and more bad ideas. I would personally rather live in a free republic versus a socialist state.
