Huckabee to address anti-abortion group here
Mike Huckabee - remember him? - will be in town next month, headlining the fundraising diner for a local anti-abortion group.
Though Huckabee seems to have fallen off the vice-presidential radar screen, he’s still a hot ticket, especially in conservative circles - runner-up to the GOP presidential nomination is no small accomplishment.
The former Arkansas governor will be in St. Louis on May 8, speaking to the Vitae Caring Foundation, a sort of publicity arm of the Missouri anti-abortion movement. The group produces commercials that seek to present an alternative to abortion.
Being honored at the dinner are Bebe C. Kennedy, a retired school counselor, and inn magnate Charles L. Drury, along with his wife, Shirley.
The dinner — co-chaired by Ed Martin, Gov. Matt Blunt’s former chief of staff, and KTRS chief Tim Dorsey — is at the Hilton next to Busch Stadium.
He’s back: Huckabee coming to St. Louis
