Outgoing state House Speaker Rod Jetton, R-Marble Hill, will spend the days after this session ends preparing a speech to deliver May 22 to graduates of the Three Rivers Community College in Poplar Bluff.

College president Dr. John F. Cooper said that Jetton is the spring commencement speaker. It will begin at 7 p.m., in the Bess Activity Center on the TRCC campus.

“We are honored to have Speaker Jetton deliver Three Rivers’ Commencement address during Three River’s 40th anniversary celebration,” said Cooper. “Speaker Jetton has been a truly outstanding leader for Missouri and an advocate for our state’s community colleges. He understands the important role of community colleges in Missouri.”
