All that hoopla about Sen. Barack Obama’s money-raising success doesn’t mean that the Democratic presidential frontrunner no longer  needs cash.

That, in effect, is the underlying message of the “all star list” of Missouri Democrats who are headlining a pro-Obama fundraiser Friday night in the Fountain Room at Scape American Bistro, 48 Maryland Plaza in the Central West End.

The event begins at 5:30 p.m. The requested donation is $50.

“BLOW-OUT FUNDRAISER TO HELP BARACK FINISH!,” the invitation says. It then lists the remaining primaries/caucuses:

Guam (5/3) ● Indiana (5/6) ● North Carolina (5/6) ● West Virginia (5/13) ● Kentucky (5/20) ● Oregon (5/20) ● Puerto Rico (6/1) ● Montana (6/3) ● South Dakota (6/3)
