Nixon, et al to tour former state speaker’s farm

Former state House Speaker Jim Kreider — a pro-gun Democrat from Nixa, Mo. who was the last of his party to hold the state House’s top post (and then lost a bid for the state Senate) — is hosting Attorney General Jay Nixon and Montana Gov. Brian Schweitzer on Saturday morning.
Kreider will be joined by “Ozarks Family Farmers,” says a Nixon release just sent out. All will participate in an agriculture roundtable at the farm.
Former Democratic Lt. Gov. Ken Rothman used a photo of himself wearing a cowboy hat and riding a horse in his unsuccessful run for governor in 1984. It was a dubious “Dukakis in the tank” photo op. Is Nixon about to make the same mistake?
