World Wide Technologies gets second chance at Bush visit
President George W. Bush plans to make good on a promise made last fall, by rescheduling for Friday a tour of the corporate headquarters of World Wide Technology, Inc. in Maryland Heights.
The visit will include a speech by Bush on the economy, which is slated to be delivered at the firm’s warehouse.
Neither event will be open to the general public.
Bush had planned to visit the company last October, but cancelled the stop so that he could travel instead to California, which at the time was battling huge wildfires.
As my colleague in our Washington Bureau, Bill Lambrecht, reports on the mother ship: “World Wide, a privately held company with about $2.5 billion in sales last year, is an information technology company that provides both hardware and services for its clients.”
The world is in a crisis and we as people need to learn that greed will kill us all. I listened to bush speech as much as I could, well I say 2 minutes of it and realized one thing how phony can he be. This president and his banned of misfits have done nothing but put this country to shame. High gas prices, high food prices, hell everything has gone up. When will we adapt the concept that God has set forth. When the Lord said, “If you love material things in this world then you have no love for me”. We suppose to be the most powerful country in the world but you see what power can do, and thats turn its back on our own without any concern. Please no more Bush Politics ever again..
For this company world wide technology wanted to be fair so I looked up the good and the bad of this company. I see that they are a black owned company and have done a lot for the black communities, and strive for new information technology, creates jobs and thats cool and all, but can it be as I have seen that this company is a fraud. Read that they have a lawsuit against them for racial discrimination and the suits are by some black men. Read what one person said, and just because a person happens to be black does not mean he or she can not discriminate against their own kind. Sometimes just because something looks good does not mean its good. Not here to pass judgement but one thing is for sure discrimination exist in most companies for some people will never change.
