UPDATE: AFL-CIO endorses Wright-Jones, St. Onge
Other than the governor’s race, the Missouri AFL-CIO offered its endorsement in a variety of other state races today. Notably missing from the endorsement category is the race for attorney general, where three Democrats with union backing are seeking the seat. Also, the AFL-CIO didn’t endorse in the crowded Ninth District race for Congress.
But the union offered its support for a variety of other state offices, including: Clint Zweifel for treasurer, Sam Page for Lieutenant Governor, and in the state Senate: Joan Barry (1st); Dennis Riche (3rd); Robin Wright-Jones (5th); Neal St. Onge (7th); Yvonne Wilson (9th); Victor Callahan (11th); Tim Green (13th); Sandra Aust (17th); Chuck Graham (19th); Tom Dempsey (23rd); Linda Sanders (27th); Chris Benjamin (31st); and Eric Reeve (33rd).
UPDATE: In my rush to the Web, I neglected a few other endorsements from the AFL-CIO. For Congress: William Lacy Clay, Mike Garman, Russ Carnahan, Ike Skelton, Emanuel Cleaver II, Kay Barnes and Jo Ann Emerson. For Missouri House: Keri Cottrell, Rebecca McClanahan, Mike Hepler, Mike Waltemath, Rachel Bringer, Harry Wyse, Tom Shively, Paul Quinn, Terry Witte, Ed Schieffer, Kelly Schultz, Gail Brown, Stephen Webber, Chris Kelly, Joe Aull, Ed Wildberger, Mark Sheehan, and Martin Rucker.

Campaign Worm, you must be joking St. Onge is known RINO. He also is a very poor business man, so the AFL-CIO has to love him (that means more change orders and more money in their pockets.) Just look at all the back taxes he had to pay on business and personal property this January just so he could file to run for the State Senate. This alone will make him a big hit with the democrats.
Just curious, what makes St.Onge a RINO? His social views are extremely conservative, where has he broken ranks? I mean, maybe he isn’t bat*hit crazy like Jane Cunningham but who is? Please, fill me in folks.
you all may have seen my previous post on another thread about Bob Soutier telling me a week ago that he hadnt decided when to have interviews for my congressional seat (2nd); wonder if he still intends to have them; local st. louis labor council doesnt endorsed in even years/county anymore? was he mislead by state committee? local will endorse separately? wouldnt think so; and I was wrong about who seemed to be the party annointed; I dont think I’ll be wrong about who will win, but we’ll see; should be competitive; I hate that! in the good sense; I think.
postscript; I wonder if AFLCIO knows I’m the only union member (actually just started new training for job 3 weeks ago, eligible, but union hasnt been to talk to us yet; was invited to a stewards meeting tho before the union meeting; very wonderful meetings;
to endorse without meeting with the candidates just disrespectful whatever they think and whomever they think it of;
if someone they’ve disrespect wins, where are they now?
they had time; it’s a congressional race; make the time;
and what’s up with the local saying they’re going to interview?
Mike Garmon’s a nice guy; I cant see him beating Akin without a 3/4 million dollars; good luck with that;
I have a 1/4 million of name recognition already and feistier, and have already talked about my spirituality and relationship with God in three different commercials; when was the last time you saw a democrat to that; needed to appeal to moderate Republicans and independents;
no one in the race better on the issues than I, tho all of us good;
I wish Mike well, will help him if I can if he wins;
cant say the same thing about the union;
a union playing politics? shocker; good luck getting into my office to make your case; sent a couple million for a couple years to show your contrition and I’ll think about it.
or make it up to me in the general election if I can there.
You know what they say - forgive if appropriate, but never forget.
