Two young but seasoned Missouri Republicans were named to state boards by Gov. Matt Blunt on Wednesday.

Blunt’s former chief of staff, St. Louis lawyer Ed Martin, 37, was tapped for a full term on the State Park Advisory Board.

Martin was initially appointed to the post in February, to fill the remainder of an unexpired term. Martin, of course, left the governor’s office in November, amid a public records controversy that continues to fester.

Also receiving a nod is Gregg Keller, who turns 31 tomorrow. He takes a seat on the state Humanities Council that expires in 2016. (Yes, an eight year term.) Keller was campaign manager for former U.S. Sen. Jim Talent and worked on the presidential campaign of Mitt Romney, who was Blunt’s choice for the White House.

Keller was recently named vice president of Total Spectrum, a government affairs outfit in Washington.
