Lyndon Bode, the presiding commissioner of Marion County who is running for the Democrat nomination for U.S. representative from the 9th Congressional District, will be in Union and Warrenton on Thursday as part of a three-day, 15-county campaign tour of the district. He plans to hold a news conference at each stop.
Bode will be in Union at 2:30 p.m. at north door of the Old Franklin County Courthouse and in Warrenton at 4 p.m. at the Warren County Courthouse.
In a statement, Bode promised to run “a very positive and upbeat campaign.”
Bode’s statement said he is in his 14th year as a presiding commissioner. Bode of West Ely, Mo., is 44 years old, married and has two young daughters.
