EdTube: Martin takes on the teachers’ union
Jake Wagman
St. Louis Post-Dispatch

Ed Martin might not like to talk too much about the e-mail flap surrounding his former boss, but Gov. Matt Blunt’s erstwhile chief of staff has no shortage of outlets to vent his mostly conservative views.

The young Republican lawyer is a columnist for the Metro Sentinel, a small African-American weekly distributed in the city, and is a video commentator for PubDef, the blog run by Rodney Hubbard’s campaign manager, Antonio French.

Today’s installment at PubDef: Martin, a vocal critic of city schools, discusses the decision by educators at a St. Louis charter school to join the teachers’ union.

As you can imagine, Martin is not happy with the move.

But — agree or disagree with him — Martin’s camera presence (slightly unpolished, though sincere) makes us wonder whether he has a career among the punditocracy.
