State Senate President Pro Tem Mike Gibbons, R-Kirkwood and the likely Republican nominee for Missouri attorney general, is holding a fundraiser May 21 at Grant’s Farm.
Besides being a popular tourist attraction, the “farm” is the family estate of the Busch family of brewery fame.
Tickets for Gibbons’ fundraiser, which begins at 6 p.m., run from $75 to $300 (low cost, by political standards).
Campaign consultant/spokesman Paul Sloca said the fundraiser’s locale “just shows the support Gibbons has.”
As most political junkies know, the Democrats are in the midst of a three-way battle to select their nominee. The choices: state Sen. Chris Koster of Harrisonville, and state Reps. Jeff Harris of Columbia and Margaret Donnelly of Richmond Heights.
No word if any Clydesdales are in their future.
