The long-awaited debate over the repeal of last year’s village law effectively shut down debate in the General Assembly today.
While the House was busy loading up SB765 with amendments, Sen. Jack Goodman made sure no House bills made their way through the Senate.
Some House members weren’t taking the debate very seriously. Members were lectured over and over again for bringing food into the chamber, also slowing the debate.
The village law is supported by Speaker Rod Jetton, who has stalled the repeal.
