It’s Sunday afternoon and — assuming that you first get some rays, since we haven’t had a Sunday like this  gorgeous specimen in weeks –it’s time for Political Fix to open our doors to all comers.

It’s Open Comment Time! Post first, post fast and post often! What’s on your mind? Where did we (or some politician, party or event) get it right? Where did we — or pols, party or doings — go wrong?

Just remember the rules. Be nice. Be topical. Be regional or local. And be consise.

 Go for it!

(But please, get out in the sun first. This beauty won’t last.)

As Jo said (yes, I agree with Jo… it happens… sometimes)

GET OUT OF THE HOUSE!

No more posting here until the sun goes down!

Now go!

Get!

I mean it!

Bye…

The American Cancer Society has hired two people to push for a further loss of freedom and property rights in St. Louis. Two people can cause more mischief than one, so ordinary citizens and business owners can look forward to spending time and money defending their rights from these paid activists.

Months ago, Smoke Free St. Louis City promised an interactive website. But they haven’t taken a single comment yet.

Let ‘em have a smoke-free St. Louis city. It’ll be great for business … in the county.

The Post-Dispatch reported today (link below) that a student received two Bs and a C at an SLPS magnet school, and was marked as being in attendance 58 times … while he was residing and attending school in Oklahoma! Board President Rick Sullivan says he’s “confident this is an isolated incident.” How do you figure? Being marked in attendance once is an isolated incident, 58 times is an ongoing pattern. The state auditor ought to jump on this one. And I’d like to know what sort of teachers we have in the SLPS when you can get two Bs and a C without ever showing up. Talk about grade inflation!

Jo, help me out here, who was it who made reference once to one of my “typo-filled” emails? did I have more than one per nine lines of text? maybe. :)
a great journalist, but no Caesar’s wife, and good to remember that glass house metaphor and the she without sin cast the first stone allusion.
I thought the sun was like Republicans - bad for the people. But enjoyed some anyhow, sun not Republicans. Prefer to choose my sins. Republicans not often among them.

Why doesn’t the Post require people who post on these blogs to use their real names the way Nick Kasoff, Bill Haas and I do?

Mr Hannegan (post #7)

How is it that we know that Bill Hannegan is your real name? You could be Eric Mink* come to torment me!

Or my Mother… or an ex-wife… that’s it you MUST be one of my ex-wives!

*Used to example purposes only.

Bill (post #6)

You are correct! The sun is like Republicans!

Like us it’s bright, and both cause Democrats to scream in horror.

In case there is someone that does not know Bill is running for Congress. You can see him here:

Where he features my favorite quote from my favorite REPUBLICAN President.

Nick, Lewis Reed has assured me that he will not go along with any law “that puts St. Louis City bars and restaurants at a competitive disadvantage.” So don’t look for the city to lead the way with these sort of dumb restrictions.
