It’s Sunday afternoon and — assuming that you first get some rays, since we haven’t had a Sunday like this  gorgeous specimen in weeks –it’s time for Political Fix to open our doors to all comers.

It’s Open Comment Time! Post first, post fast and post often! What’s on your mind? Where did we (or some politician, party or event) get it right? Where did we — or pols, party or doings — go wrong?

Just remember the rules. Be nice. Be topical. Be regional or local. And be consise.

 Go for it!

(But please, get out in the sun first. This beauty won’t last.)

Yesterday, a car covered with Bill Haas stickers cut into my lane on the highway sans a lane change signal. Not only cutting me off, proceeded to slow down at that point.
Yikes. If you drive like a selfish pig, what makes you think you will govern any better?!

Virginia Young wrote an excellent article about Rep. Tom Villa, but she failed to mention the incident which epitomized the dedication and honor Rep. Villa has always displayed. While being interviewed by Ms. Young for the article, Tom missed a roll-call vote in the House. While this would be no big deal for the vast majority of legislators, it was the first and only time in eighteen years of service in the House that Rep. Villa missed a roll-call! Moreover, when House leadership offered to reopen the vote or simply show Villa as voting (a sign of the respect he has earned even among the Republicans), Rep. Villa declined.

Nick, the attendance deal in SLPS is nothing new. You are well aware that attendance is biggie in the funding they receive. When I was a student at Roosevelt High, I had several teachers that would call roll and if a student wasn’t there, would mark them present anyway. Two teachers in particular would even comment, “We don’t get the the funds for absent students.” I used to receive perfect attendance awards even though I cut a class or a day here and there. I even mentioned it to a teacher and he said just take the award.

Suzyjax,
Maybe Bill Haas’ little scooter car filled with scrappy stickers had a blind spot along with his own blind spots…he looks foolish driving around in a dumb little car with that trash all pasted all over it…he is first rate rubbish! And uses plenty of pseudonyms Hannegan.

Bill Haas-where are Jo’s typos in this text? BTW that is off-topic pea aunt.

I would like more coverage surrounding the Republicans running for office and not just negative coverage but positive also. Let’s talk about more of the different politicians not the same old same old.
