UPDATE: Koster returns to floor to help Crowell in filibuster

Sen. Chris Koster, D-Raymore, has returned to the filibuster against the village law repeal, taking an inquiry from Sen. Jason Crowell, R-Cape Girardeau, though he seems significantly less energized about participating this time than earlier today. Perhaps that’s because it’s 3:15 in the morning.

Before Koster agreed to the inquiry from Crowell, he had a brief discussion with Senate President Pro Tem Michael Gibbons, R-Kirkwood. And when he took to the floor he asked whether key House and Senate members were in a room talking, heading toward some sort of a deal that would head off the filibuster. Crowell said they were.

UPDATE: As www.firedupmissouri.com pointed out this morning I accidently referred to Koster as a Republican when I typed this post at three-something in the morning. Last week I said he was from Raytown. Probably not as bad as when I referred to Jake Zimmerman as Jake Cunningham, but, sorry for the error.

Chis Koster may be a Democrat, but I’d like him to be a Democrat for a little longer and prove it. For right now I consider him a Johnny come lately who really needs to prove himself. He needs to do better than this fiasco called the village law repeal.

Look, Koster is a Democrat. What do you need him to do? Does he need to announce that he is gay or dating a black woman before you agree to accept him? Please . . . take him and his pal Chris Benjamin.
