Cardinals manager Tony LaRussa is slated to be on the tarmac at Lambert tomorrow morning, as part of the cadre of locals greeting President George W. Bush.

According to my well-connected colleague, Elizabethe Holland, LaRussa says he’ll be returning from the East Coast and flying into Lambert shortly before Bush arrives. La Russa will then hustle to the correct secret location to be on hand to welcome the president.

Derrick Goold over at Birdland has more details on the White House’s request that LaRussa join GWB on the (air)field.

I have a serious question regarding the election….for all you political hacks please answer honestly:

On Hannity and Holmes– a friend of mine stated that they were talking about the option Gore would have to run for President….even this late in the game….is this friend of mine dreaming or is there any truth to this proposition??

Wouldn’t he be too late run ????

Please no jokes, just the truth. I’m trying to educate myself and my friend.

Thank You!

Gore’s only option is if the superdelegates try to give it to him, and elected delegates or the other nominees agree. Otherwise, a deadlocked convention. Possible, discussed, but seems unlikely.

Thank you sincerely Bill Haas for answering my question!

At least somebody out there cares enough to respond and give me an accurate answer.

Bill–help, I have one more question for you:

Does universal healthcare mean that people who already carry their own health insurance either privately or through their employer have to pay increased taxes to subsidize universal healthcare and/or do we have to switch to the government healthcare program or can we stay with the health insurance coverage we currently have?

Thanx!

I think with his great popularity, Gore would be the best candidate to win the election. I hope he
is drafted.

I concur William- Gore would be the only viable candidate to beat McCain. The other 2 dems won’t stand a chance to beat McCain.
