Latest Reed fundraiser to be a “Gast”

St. Louis Post-Dispatch

Although Board of Aldermen President Lewis Reed represents the entire city, when it comes to raising cash, he prefers to keep it close to home.

Reed, who unseated former president Jim Shrewsbury in an upset victory last year, is still trying to recoup money he loaned the campaign.

Tonight, the owners of the St. Louis Gast Haus — located in the Lafayette Square neighborhood, which Reed represented as an alderman — are throwing Reed a fundraiser at their Deutsch-themed restaurant.

It’s the second fundraiser in recent months Reed has had in Lafayette Square - in March, he held a “jazz” event at Sqwires market and eatery.

All St. Louis bars and restaurants should be contributing to Lewis Reed.

I’m being sincere when I ask, why, Bill.
I just wonder if there are reasons why you say that all bars and restaurants should support him.
Thanks.

Because Lewis Reed is against smoking bans, he would rather let the market work it out.

Bars and restaurants need to stick together in defence of their common freedoms and property rights. They need to support political leaders like Lewis Reed who will stand up for them.

I wonder if his bodyguard will be there.

Oh, nevermind. As soon as the public caught wind of that he backpedaled like crazy.

The bodyguard thing has been spun by somebody. It doesn’t seem like they are bodyguards at all rather sheriff deputies who work at the courts. This whole thing stinks of politics. The south side journal takes a little different view than Jakes articles.

By the time he finishes paying for his first run, it will be time to run again. He will be challenged on on his re-elect.

Keep St. Louis Free! will work hard for any pro-freedom St. Louis political leader. Reed can count on our help.
