Lawmakers hand themselves their own key to the city, er, dome

You’ve heard of people getting a key to the city from the mayor? Well, the Missouri Senate just voted to give themselves a key to the dome.

While voting to change the name of the Governor’s Council on Disability and move it to a different part of the executive branch, the Senate also voted to give every member of the House and Senate their own key to the dome of the State Capitol.

Feel the power of the last week of session. The bill now goes to the House.

The lettuce pickers are in California, you idiot. It’s tree trimmers and lawn mowers in Missouri. Get your slurs right!

If every member of the legislature gets a key then facilities should put a magnetic lock on doors and gates so that they will only open when they scan their state issued ID at least that way a record will be kept of everytime a legislative member accesses the Dome which will be subject to sunshine requests. Maybe the record will keep them honest. Not!
