Music for the president
The president is somewhere between Lambert International and the factory here. In the meantime, everyone here has been chatting a bit and listening to some music pumped over the stereo.
The play list seems a bit ecletic, ranging from some soul (maybe Mo-town?) to pop rock group Smash Mouth to the current electro-dance-mix that I can’t place.
If the commander-in-chief weren’t about to walk in the room, and if the crowd were a little younger, I’d half expect a rave to start any minute.
The White House (or whoever picked the tunes) apparently likes to keep it fresh.

And now Smash Mouth is back on. We’ve had both All-Star and Walking on the Sun. That album was released in 1999. Someone’s a fan.
And as I type that, we’re back to house music.
Unrelated, I’m putting the crowd at between 400 and 450. The people who had been standing did find hidden seats in the corners.
